The "inheritance" concept allows you to retrieve common data (logo, standard number, social networks, etc.) between all entities and groups from the parent entity and/or group (and so on).
No need to copy/paste your information in each entity, you just have to fill in the information in your main entity so that your other entities inherit it. Thus, your sub-groups inherit the information present in your sub-entities and if these data are not present in the latter then Signitic will bring up your information from your groups and / or entity attached to the start group.
Signitic has 3 levels of segmentation:
No. 1: The entity: This is your company's "identity". This is where you will find all the information about your company (social networks, postal address, phone number, etc.). This is where Signitic retrieves your company's links and data to assign them to your different signature templates.
N°2: The group: The groups allow you to categorize your users to assign them a template and one (or more) campaign(s).
If your entity is composed of a sales force and an administrative team, you can, for example, create 2 groups in order to apply a different template and/or communication campaign to them.
N°3: The sub-entity: It has the same properties as the main entity, the only difference being that if the information is not filled in, it will inherit the data from the higher entity.
From there, you can also create new groups.
This notion of inheritance allows the recovery of your common information between your different entities/brands/offices/subsidiaries/countries.
In order to automate Signitic as much as possible, we advise you to fill in all the information related to your main entity beforehand so that the notion of inheritance can be applied in your groups and sub-entities.
What is a sub-entity? What is it used for?
The sub-entity is one of the sub-levels of segmentation in the Signitic tree. It allows you to create a different entity and to assign groups to it as for a classic entity.
The sub-entity also allows you to link your different brands to your main entity.
If any information is missing, it will fetch the data from the main/default entity.
It allows you to segment your users by brands/groups according to the different languages on which your company wants to communicate for example.
What are the differences with groups and entities
Signitic allows you to integrate your collaborators into different entities and groups. A campaign is assigned to a group or an entity, so you can launch several communication campaigns simultaneously and strategically!
Groups allow you to categorize your users to assign them a template and one (or more) campaign(s).
If your entity is composed of a sales force and an administrative team, you can, for example, create 2 groups in order to apply a template and/or a different communication campaign to them.
The entities are the first levels of segmentation in the Signitic tree structure. They allow you to fill in data not present in your AD such as social networks, website, slogan, or postal address.
The entities represent here your different brands, offices.
